How it works

Three taps to your people

No invites to send, no time to pick. Knock works like walking into a room where your friends already are.

See who's around

Open the app to a live map of your friends — who's online, who's in a room, who's just hanging with the door open.

Knock on the door

Tap a friend or an open room and knock. They get a gentle doorbell — accept and you slide right in. No ringing into the void.

You're hanging out

Face to face in a tiny video room. Play a game, listen to a track together, or just talk. Leave whenever — no goodbyes required.

Why it's different

The warmth of dropping by, rebuilt for now

We kept what made dropping in feel like magic — spatial audio, listen-along, and real privacy do the rest.

AI icebreakers

Quiet room? A tap surfaces a prompt or a quick game tuned to who's actually there. The lull never lasts.

Ambient presence

Feel your friends nearby without staring at a list. Soft pings when someone walks in, never another red badge.

Spatial audio

Voices sit where faces sit. Lean toward someone for a side chat — it feels like a room, not a grid of squares.

Listen along

Drop a track and everyone hears it in sync. Hangs turn into tiny listening parties without leaving the room.

Async drop-ins

Missed the hang? Leave a 10-second video note on a friend's door. They'll find it when they're back — knocks that wait.

Mini-games built in

Trivia, Quick Draw, Heads Up and more — one tap from any room. The fastest way to turn three people into a party.

Try it live

Poke around the app

This is the real interface, running right here in your browser — not a screenshot. Jump between screens and try the in-room controls.

Inside a room

Crisp, tiny, alive

Up to eight faces in HD, reactions that float, and a host who keeps the door. It feels less like a meeting and more like a couch.

Never a dull room

Games, one tap away

Built right into every room. No app-switching, no setup — just pick one and the whole room's playing.

Your door, your rules

Small by design,
private by default

The old drop-in apps got loud and creepy. Knock is built the other way: tiny rooms, friends only, and a front door that's always yours to lock.

Front-door modes

Open, knock-to-enter, or locked. Switch any time — even mid-hang.

Ghost mode

Go invisible when you just want to lurk. No one sees you're around.

Friends only, always

No strangers, no discovery feed. Only people you've actually added can knock.

Good questions

The short answers

It starts from the same warm, drop-in feeling — but Knock is built around being present together, not just calling. A room is a place you hang, not a meeting you join: friends drift in and out, spatial audio makes side-chats real, and you can listen along or start a game without leaving. It's also friends-only and ephemeral by design — no feed, no strangers, nothing that outlives the hang. And where it's headed is what really sets it apart: a passive “hang mode” for studying or working side by side, AI recaps of the moments you missed, and standing rooms that gather your people on a rhythm.

We're rolling out in invite waves to keep rooms small and the experience tight. Join the waitlist and you'll get an invite as soon as your wave opens — earlier if friends you've referred are already in.

Free to hang. Knock is built around tiny rooms with the people you actually know, not endless growth — so the core experience stays free, always.

Knock is a native iOS and Android app, built on real-time video so calls feel instant and crisp. A lightweight web drop-in is on the roadmap.

No. There's no public discovery and no "people you may know" feed. Only friends you've added can see you're around or knock on your door, and ghost mode hides you entirely.

Be first through the door

Early invites go out in waves. Get on the list and we'll knock the moment your spot opens up.
